According to the adverts on TV there are 7 signs of skin ageing…
1. Lines and wrinkles
2. Uneven skin texture
3. Uneven skin tone
4. Appearance of pores
5. Blotches and age spots
6. Dry skin
Can any of these strike at any age?
Items 1 and 5 are the most likely to be age related, but the others could strike at any time – consider a teenager, they may suffer from uneven skin texture and tone and have the appearance of pores.
An adverse life style, significant stress or emotional crisis will show in the skin, which can leave the skin dull, dry or blotchy.
At Bank Aesthetics we can help you overcome the signs of ageing with a selection of minimally invasive products including our Blue Peel RADIANCE chemical peel. This superficial chemical peel is applied to the face to remove dead skin cells. You will notice tighter, smoother, brighter-looking skin after just 1 peel* Your friends and family will start to comment on your younger looking skin within a few days!
Call us TODAY on 01926 859988 to talk about your skin needs and we will be happy to discuss the options available.
* A series of 4 to 6 peels provides best overall results.
We were delighted when we were approached by Antonia Maraconda and ITV to take part in a recent report on the #safetyinbeauty campaign.
Beautifil Aesthetics are passionate about improving the regulations that cover non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Our team are all trained experts in their field and client wellbeing and safety are our main priorities.
There must be new regulations put in place to prevent the horrendous misuse of fillers carried out by people who have not been medically trained and who cannot understand the full impact of the treatments they carry out. Skin can be left damaged which causes unnecessary stress and trauma to the patient.
The law must change to ensure that non-surgical cosmetic treatments are carried out by trained medical professionals in a clinical location.

If you have suffered a bad experience after under going a non-surgical cosmetic procedure, please get in touch. We are happy to offer all our clients a free initial consultation, so why not contact us?
The British Skin Foundation www.britishskinfoundation.org.uk identifies a number of actions you can take to improve your skin, including:
1 Eating well – Maintaining a healthy diet is essential to skin health. If your diet is healthy and well balanced, your general health will benefit and this will be reflected in your skin.
2 Moisturising – Moisturising protects your skin from the elements as well as preventing it from drying. If you have dry skin, don’t use harsh, alcohol-based products as these can irritate skin and dry it out. If you have oily skin, avoid oil-based products and choose water-based ones instead.
3 Regular exercise – Regular exercise is a great outlet for stress. This leaves the skin looking and feeling vibrant.

Our new Specialist Clinic Opens in Kenilworth to help you look younger, fresher and feel great too.
Thursday 5th December saw the official Launch of Beautifil Aesthetics, Kenilworth’s first Medical Skin Health Advice clinic offering a range of services including facial rejuvenation, teeth whitening and semi-permanent makeup.
The Launch event was attended by local businesses, Councillor, Mrs Felicity Bunker, Mayor of Kenilworth and Antonia Mariconda, the Cosmedic Coach and Health & Beauty Writer for The Times, Top Sante and SKY TV Beauty Presenter.
Antonia spoke about her recently launched #SafetyinBeauty Campaign. Antonia explained: “The #SafetyinBeauty campaign aims to raise awareness of the malpractice in the beauty industry, from rogue practitioners, unethical advertising, unscrupulous commercial greed, and unsafe activities.”
She then stressed the importance of using a qualified practitioner such as Maria at Beautifil and congratulated Maria on her new venture in Kenilworth.
Maria Phillips, Director of Beautifil and Lead Aesthetic Practitioner, said: “At Beautifil, We believe strongly in taking a modern holistic approach to our clients needs to ensure that they receive the best care and attention. Before taking the advice of anyone offering non -surgical cosmetic treatments you should make sure that they are both qualified and experienced in this specialist field of aesthetics. At Beautifil Clinic all our nurses are highly qualified in all aspects of facial aesthetics and experienced to consult on skin conditions.”
We are told by experts on the one hand to use sun cream factor 15+ whenever we are outside to protect our skin, yet on the other hand to get the right amount of Vitamin D, necessary for strong bones we need to expose our skin to sunlight.
So what is the answer?
The ‘SunSmart’ messages are
• Spend time in the shade between 11am and 3pm.
• Make sure you never burn.
• Aim to cover up with a T-shirt, hat and sunglasses.
• Remember to take extra care with children.
• Then use factor 15+ sunscreen.
The vitamin D message
Our body creates most of our vitamin D from direct sunlight on our skin. Short daily periods of sun exposure without sunscreen during the summer months (April to October) A short period in the sun means a matter of minutes – about 10 to 15 minutes for most people – and is less than the time it takes you to start going red or to burn. The larger the area of your skin that is exposed to sunlight, the more chance there is of making enough vitamin D before you start to burn.
In the UK, our skin isn’t able to make vitamin D from winter sunlight (November to March) as the sunlight hasn’t got enough UVB (ultraviolet B) radiation. During the winter, we get vitamin D from our body’s stores and from food sources.
Our advice? Everything in moderation. If you are enjoying Winter Sun this year, whether it’s a crisp walk over Christmas, or on the ski slopes or a tropical beach, use your common sense. Make sure you use the right skin protection and don’t spend too much time in the sun. Moisturise your skin regularly and drink plenty of water.
If you need any help or advice about sun damaged skin, please call into our clinic or call us on 01926 859988.
If you’re considering an aesthetic procedure like a facial aesthetic procedure such as dermal fillers, you should make sure you are fully informed.
Before making a decision, consult with a medical expert who is specialised and highly trained in aesthetic treatments such as Bank Aesthetics. To give you peace of mind, just ask these 5 questions:
1 Which brands of products do you use, and why?
When it comes to quality, not all aesthetic products are the same. Understanding how they may differ is important and something to discuss with your practitioner at Bank Aesthetics. It’s a good idea to find out more about how an aesthetic product is manufactured; find out where it’s made and ask us for information about the manufacturing or quality control process. At Bank Aesthetics we use only the golden standard, researched, evidence based products as we believe that our clients deserve nothing less than the best. Allergan’s vast range of products are are far advanced and are used by the most respected and reputable professional world wide.
2 Has the product been extensively tested and researched?
Aesthetic products should be backed by science and have a proven track record, so make certain you are comfortable about the information available that supports the product’s safety and effectiveness and your aesthetics clinic should be happy to provide evidence that supports the safety and effectiveness of the product or treatment you are interested in. At Bank Aesthetics all our products are licensed for the use of Aesthetic medicine, where many others do not carry that stamp of safety. Licensing takes many years to achieve from clinical trials so without its testing and stamp of approval we would not consider using it.
3 Is the manufacturer one you trust, and why?
You only want the best for your body. When you call to make your appointment, make sure you ask for more information about the heritage, quality and reputation of the company who makes the product. Allergan and the other manufactures of products used at Bank Aesthetics provide practitioners with first class training and this commitment is ongoing so all are procedures are up to date and this gives the best safest results for our clients.
4 How widely is the product used around the world?
Confidence comes with knowledge and experience. Find out more about the product’s use by patients and practitioners around the world. Ask us for our advice. We are always happy to help. The statistics show more procedures are performed globally with Allergan than any other manufacture. Which makes it a leader and world class product !!!
5 How satisfied are your patients with the results?
To receive the product that best meets your needs, explain your clinician the result you want to achieve and let them show you other patients’ outcomes. It’s your body, and it’s your right to know all you can about what is involved before you decide if a procedure is right for you. At Bank Aesthetics, we are happy to show you evidence of great results.
- Our client return rate is extremely high
- We record client comfort in every procedure as standard

Line smoothing injections have been used for over 20 years, on over one million individuals worldwide and is the world’s most popular non surgical treatment today.
By using muscles repeatedly throughout a lifetime, the skin is creased in areas of greatest use such as frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead.
Because the ageing process causes the slow down of collagen and elastin production in the skin, as we get older these areas of over-use become damaged and the lines become permanent.
By reducing the movement of muscles in these areas the skin stops being creased and is allowed to recover resulting in lines that soften or even fade away. If treatment is maintained over a period of time the facial muscles become re-educated and a yearly maintenance programme is normally required.
